In Flight to U.S.
Vagabondblogger will be away for a few days while she flies back to the U.S. to be with Doggie. Here's a VW photo to enjoy, until I return with a new post. If you enlarge the photo, you'll see the roof rack on the maroon bug. There are many of those zooming down the streets of Maadi. These two were parked together near the American School and several others on the same small circle. Cairo is abundant with old VW's that have either been pimped up, just maintained or so bastardized even an expert would be uncertain as to the age of the car.
I am seriously contemplating serving up an edition of Greed, Fear and Panic due to the recent rumors and news reports of a serial slasher here in my neighborhood called, "The Maadi Serial Killer." I haven't heard that he has actually killed anyone as of yet, but that's how rumors go, particularly in communities with a bunch of green expats. As I said, possibly more on that later.
Enjoy the photo.
Blessings;
ReplyDeleteI've been accused of being a Vagabond on occasion. Of course, I tend to look at it as a lifestyle choice that fits the TRUE teachings of our spiritual leaders, as opposed to the corrupted teachings of the church.
I enjoyed reading your posts on expat profiles...very funny.
Enjoy your trip and play safe.

Thanks. We're all just a bunch of vagabonds traveling down the highway of life, but some folks might differ.
ReplyDeletehey Vegabondblogger , no need to worry from "Maadi serial Killer" insh Allah he will be caught even before returning Egypt
ReplyDeletethanks for visiting my blog :)
So was there really a serial killer after all?
ReplyDeletecairogal: No not really. Some guy stabbed a couple of girls in a very private area of the body. Actually I think zeinobia knows more about this than I do, but he became known as The Maadi Serial Killer, even though no one was ever killed.
