Anniversary Day - In Spite Of Ourselves

No not VB's blog anniversary, but her anniversary with the Boss Man, January 12th! Just a bit of trivia: We were married by Father Stephanopoulos in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Sound familiar? Father Stephanopoulos, is George Stephanopoulos' father (you know, like in real life.). Father Stephanopoulos told The Boss Man, "Even though your church (Catholic) recognizes this marriage (Greek Orthodox), she can divorce you, but you can never divorce her."

So - to us! (Not counting the years we lived "in sin" together.)

(I guess I'm gettin' the same present I got last year, too.)

  2. Congratulations! I like the sound of those wedding vows. Have a lovely Anniversary Day... unlike us, who after almost 20 years - we still both forget until late in the evening... then laugh at the fact we have 'done it again'.

So what did you get last year?

  3. he & she: Thanks. Yeah, the song is very funny, but does show the differences between men & woman, and that we can live with them, regardless of how much they may annoy us.

lynda: Thanks. Actually, those aren't vows. There are none in the Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony - at all. That was just a pre-marriage advisory from the priest. And, last year was probably the first year I received a gift - it was a ring with roman numerals of the year we were married. My reference was to the fact that I usually don't get a gift - it's an inside joke, so-to-speak.
